Student Exchange Program

Sakaide, Japan, became the 2nd of 3 Sausalito Sister City affiliations in 1988.

Also of note, Japan's Great Seto Bridge was also designated as a "Sister Bridge" friendship with The Golden Gate Bridge back then.

The purpose of our Sister City program is to promote and facilitate people-to-people relationships between individuals in both cities so as to acheive a deeper understanding of cultures, societies and histories.
